1. What ages are suitable for the Reach & Match Learning Kit?
Reach & Match is available for babies 18 months old above to early primary school children. It also depends on individual children with different special needs and developmental phases.
2. Who is Reach & Match designed for?
Reach & Match is an inclusive learning kit that benefits all children in both mainstream and special needs’ settings. It supports children with and without disabilities to learn alongside each other through play-based activities. We specially designed our program to support the growth for children with disabilities, including sensory impairment (e.g. Vision impairment and hearing impairment), intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and physical development delays.
3. Do you offer Reach & Match training for teachers, specialists, librarians and parents?

Yes, we do! We developed a series of comprehensive training videos for users to learn all the exercises and activities which covers 7 Learning Outcomes. For large groups of educators and therapists, e.g. kindergartens, we are available to offer a face-to-face Reach & Match Training Course for them. 4. How do I use the Reach & Match Learning Kit?

Activity Manual – The Reach & Match Learning Kit comes with an included activity manual. The activity manual contains instructions for 40 activities and games based on 7 learning outcomes, including Braille Learning, Cognitive Skills, Sensory Integration, Sense of Satisfaction, Language Enrichment, Body Movement and Social Interaction. For example, one activity involves children developing their fine and gross motor skills by placing the different shaped tiles into their corresponding spaces on different mats.

Training Videos – We developed a series of comprehensive training videos for users to learn all the exercises and activities.

Reach & Match Training Course – For large groups of educators and therapists, e.g. kindergartens, we are available to offer a face-to-face Reach & Match Training Course for them. 5. Is the Reach & Match learning kit just a toy? How does Reach & Match support my child’s learning?

The Reach & Match Learning Kit is more than just a toy! Reach and Match is a multi-award winning holistic learning program that has been designed through focused research and user testing to support early childhood learning outcomes and the inclusion of children with disabilities in mainstream early childhood services, schools and families.

 The principle of the program aligns with Australian’s Early Years Learning Framework, it provides 40 activities that support 7 Learning Outcomes: Braille Learning, Cognitive Skills, Sensory Integration, Sense of satisfaction, Language Enrichment, Body Movement and Social Interaction. 

It has received over 12 global awards in Education, Inclusion and Assistive Technology, and has been endorsed by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2019. 6. Has research been done on the effectiveness of the Reach & Match?

Yes! Reach and Match was developed by founder Mandy Lau through her Master’s research at Monash University for children with sensory impairment and multiple needs to develop braille and print early literacy and social skills through tactile strategies and play-based activities. Research into braille literacy, early intervention and inclusion in education informed the design of the Reach and Match Learning Kit and was developed with a range of educators and specialises utilising a user-centric methodology and co-design approach.

8. What does Reach & Match Learning Kit include?

One Reach & Match Learning kit includes:

  • 4 double-sided sensory play mats
  • 26 double-sided braille and alphabet sensory blocks (4 sounds)
  • 1 large round cushion, and
  • 1 portable bag
  • 1 activity manual
9. How big is it? What are the dimensions?

Each piece of the playmat is 84 cm (L) × 80 cm (W). Cushion size is 60 cm × 60 cm.

10. Is the Reach & Match suitable for home use?

Absolutely! Reach & Match is well received among families. It is a perfect educational resource for parents to teach their children with 7 Learning Outcomes through exercises and games at home. Each learning kit included an easy-to-read activity manual, and we also developed a series of comprehensive videos to support users.

11. How many children can use one Reach & Match learning kit?

One set of Reach & Match Learning Kit can comfortably support 7-8 students for most activities. For a classroom, up to 25 students, it would be best to have 2-3 sets. Please note that additional sets of alphabet tiles allow you to facilitate more activities such as the spelling game. You can order an extra set of alphabet tiles at info@reachandmatch.com

13. Can I use multiple Reach & Match learning kits together?

Yes! The Reach & Match mats can connect and enabling a larger group of children to play. You can make different horizontal and vertical configurations, and children would love it!

14. How many sets of Reach & Match Learning Kits should you use in a class of 25 students?

For all students to play together, it would be best to have 2-3 sets of Reach & Match Learning Kits. Please note that more sets of the alphabet tiles included in additional Learning Kits allow you to facilitate more activities such as the spelling game. The Reach & Match mats can connect enabling a large group of children to play. You can make different horizontal and vertical configurations, and children would love it!

15. How do I clean Reach & Match?

Reach & Match mats and tiles are easy to clean using wet wipes. You can also wipe them using a damp cloth with a little detergent.

16. What happens if I lose an item from the Reach & Match Learning Kit?

Each learning kit includes a round cushion to store the tiles and a portable bag that can store the whole kit. We can arrange a replacement of the Reach & Match tiles, please email info@reachandmatch.com

17. How long can the Reach & Match Learning Kit last?

Reach & Match Learning Kit is very high quality and durable. Our oldest customers have been using the products for over 5 years and they are still in a good condition!

1. I am an NDIS participant. How can I use the fund to purchase Reach & Match?

Please email to info@reachandmatch.com email title: Quotation – NDIS, and we will be able to provide you with an official quotation for you to submit to your plan manager if you are using Plan Managed Funding.

2. Our school/organisation are interested in applying for funding to purchase the learning kits, would you be able to assist our application?

Shipping & Warranty

1. How long does it take to ship?

Once we receive your payment of the order, you should receive the learning kit within 2 weeks.

2. Where do you sell and ship?

We sell internationally, to know the shipping cost, please email info@reachandmatch.com. If you are located in the United States of America, please order through American Printing House.  

3. Do you offer a warranty?

Yes! We offer a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects. If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us info@reachandmatch.com

Our warranty does not cover wear and tear caused by use, accidental damage, or failure to follow care instructions. Damage to the packaging only due to shipping is also not covered.

4. Is the Reach & Match Learning Kit safe for my child?
