Reach & Match Received an Honourable Mention of Louis Braille Touch of Genius Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Reach & Match Learning Kit and Inclusive Learning Program has received an honorable mention for Louis Braille Touch of Genius Prize for Innovation 2017, given by the National Braille Press in the U.S.A. This award means so much for our cause and mission of inclusion and accessibility.

Dr. Edward Bell, chair of our Touch of Genius Committee commented on Reach & Match:

“Speaking for myself, as one of the judges, I felt that your mats were exceptional, but their genius was subtle. What I mean is this: at first glance, the mats do not seem much different from similar mats in daycare centers all across the United States. In the hands of a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired/Blind Students, however, their genius shines. Not until you are on the floor with the mats exploring the braille trail, learning the braille patterns and experiencing the attention that went into arranging the shapes and letters into logical chunks that are educationally sound does the genius of these mats come to life. In the hands of a good educator, these will serve as a great early learning tool of braille and tactile exploration. Good work!”
